On the night of 19th of September, 2008 two young Malaysian
Cyclists left for Rome to go to Varese to participate in the Under
23 World Championship Cycling event. This is an about turn to
an earlier decision by the Road Development Committee who had
cancelled their participation due to lack of funds. With the help of
Datuk Astaman Aziz of Ten Speed, the Organiser of Jelajah Malaysia,
the two cyclists will be riding in Varese flying the Malaysian Flag.
In Rome they will be assisted by the 3rd Secretary Encik Abdul Latiff
and in Milan they will get some help from Razidah Hanim of Matrade.
This is a true Malaysia Incorporated effort in full swing against the odds.
